Services
Photography services designed for art-led individuals and brands.
Alex’s services are built to be flexible yet intentional: clear structures that leave room for experimentation and nuance. Whether you are commissioning a single portrait or a multi-location campaign, the aim is always the same—to create images that feel deeply aligned with your story.
Core photography services.
These are the four pillars of Alex’s practice. Each can be tailored to your context, from small independent projects to larger productions with multiple collaborators.
Portrait sessions
Thoughtfully directed one-on-one or small group sessions, ideal for artists, founders, and creatives who want portraits that feel like them rather than a version of themselves for the camera.
Event storytelling
Immersive coverage for openings, festivals, talks, and performances. Alex focuses on atmosphere and connection, capturing both the key moments and the subtle gestures in between.
Landscape commissions
Expansive scenes for albums, exhibitions, editorial features, and brands seeking imagery rooted in place—whether that is a remote coastline or the edge of a city at dusk.
Commercial campaigns
Concept-driven image series for studios and brands, developed with creative directors to build cohesive visual narratives across print, web, and experiential touchpoints.
Supporting services that complete the picture.
Beyond the core disciplines, Alex offers a set of supporting services that help ensure your project feels cohesive from first idea through final delivery. You can combine these as needed to create the right structure for your collaboration.
Creative direction support
Moodboarding, reference research, and visual language development for teams seeking a collaborative partner in shaping the look and feel of a project.
On-set consulting
Presence on set to guide composition, light, and pacing during multi-disciplinary shoots that involve video, performance, or installation.
Location scouting
Finding and securing locations—from intimate studios to atmospheric outdoor settings—that harmonise with your narrative and logistical needs.
Retainer collaborations
Ongoing partnerships with galleries, agencies, and brands that need consistent, evolving imagery across seasons and campaigns.
How a commission typically unfolds.
While every project has its own rhythm, Alex follows a clear structure to keep the collaboration grounded and transparent. You always know where you are in the process, what comes next, and when to expect key decisions or deliveries.
This framework is flexible enough to accommodate last-minute changes—weather, travel, scheduling—without losing the integrity of the original intention.

Questions
Frequently asked before stepping in front of the lens.
Thoughtful collaborations begin with clear information. These answers cover many of the practical questions that arise when planning a session, event, or campaign with Alex.
For portrait sessions, Alex recommends booking four to six weeks in advance to allow time for creative planning and location scouting. For events and commercial work, eight to twelve weeks is ideal, especially during peak seasons when festivals, exhibitions, and brand launches overlap. If you have a shorter timeline, you are still welcome to reach out—Alex keeps a small number of days flexible for last-minute opportunities.

A quick note from Alex
"The most meaningful projects I have worked on began with a simple message: a sentence about a feeling, a place, or a moment someone wanted to honour. You do not need a perfect brief to reach out—only the desire to make something honest and considered."
